Whales By Hannah Burke

A cheerful life begins,
and other ends everyday,
in a whales life .

An immature calf has to breath,
Gasp, puff and get oxygen,
At least 12 times an hour,
That's a long time between breaths!

The mammal is growing,
Maturing and getting fatter,
But there is still in danger
He stays with his mother.

Loving, caring and feeding the baby.
Fear builds up,
With every whale they see.

Now the mammal is fully grown,
Helping, singing and sharing food,
He can wait 40 minutes,

Until he has to breath.

These loving mammals,
Can make new life.
Calfs will come and,
The life cycle will start again .

Soccer by Dylan Holland

I walk onto the pitch,
My heart pounding,
Hands shaking.
I was so nervous.
I couldn't wait for it to start.

We get into our positions,
We're extremely anxious.
It's going to start,
"Peep" goes the whistle!

They start by kicking off.
Passing the ball back and forth.
After weeks of preparation,
The soccer final is finally underway.

Whales -By Finnigan

First the baby whale is born ready for his journey.
The baby whale is called a calf.
While he grows he must be guided by his mother.
Every five minutes the calf must go up out of the water for air.

Once he is older as big as a bus,
His mother must leave him to fend for himself.
Then the male will sing for the female whale.
The challenge is on.

The female whale chooses which male she prefers.
Then they will bring life to a brand new calf .
The life cycle begins again.

The Life Cycle Of A Chicken By Sam Cullen

The chicken is always cooked,
Grilled smoked and fried.
It needs to be kept warm,
Or otherwise it will die.

As the mother chicken lays her eggs,
They will start to grow.
It needs to be looked after,
Not shaken to and fro.

The mother hen is happy,
Happy as can be.
Her little baby chick,
Will hopefully not be tea.

Under the mother chicken,
She starts to feel a shake.
Her little baby chick,
Will now start to wake.

Now the chick has hatched,
To it's leg attatched,
The big ball of yolk,
It's mother is so stoked.

As it grows larger wings,
It will get fatter.
As it's mother feeds it,
Food for it's bladder.

Now the chicken has grown up,
It is ready to mate.
But the very first thing to do,
Is find a date.

The life cycle will start again,
Round and round and round.
As it gets older,
It will gain pounds and pounds.
