Rugby By Will Scully

The whistle blows I kick it high in the air!
But the defender takes it with care.

The forwards hit hard and I yell some commands,
then the ball goes spiraling through the arms.

The winger finds a gap and thunders off,
but it wasn't to long before he was stopped.

We get there in time to have another crack,
and the ball goes wide, wide through the backs.

The wing hits a gap,
then he sidesteps,jinks and jives!
Not long before we finally get a try.

The life cycle of a Whale! By Kaitlyn Calvert-Shandley!

Whales are quite different,
To normal creatures in the sea,
They have warm blood,
They're mammals,
Just like you and me!

They start of just little calves,
Relying mostly on there mother,
They stay with her every day,
there really is no other!

A whale needs 5 minutes,
Of beautiful fresh air,
To fill up their lungs,
So they can go everywhere.

The calf is getting bigger,
Getting ready to explore,
The amazing big blue ocean,
He's not a baby anymore!

Now the whale is fully grown,
He has everything he needs,
Everything but someone,
To help make his family.

The cow is swimming fast,
The males chase along,
Its the survival of the fittest,
The one that gets her is very strong.

So that is the life, the life of a whale.

Time

TICK.....TOCK......TICK.......TOCK.....
The hands speed around the clock.
Too fast, I just can't catch up in life.
Seconds don't exist, minutes are close to split seconds, years are almost nothing.
It's too fast.

Just yesterday I was a little baby,
Snug in my mothers arms being showered with praise.
But it has faded too soon.
I want to turn back the clock and restore those memories.
How time flies.
