Stephen's Second Poem
Diggy Diggy Hole
Wake up,
In the morning,
Feeling,
Like,
A,
Dwarf.
Yes,
I said dwarf,
And yes,
I,
Dig,
Holes,
It is,
My nature.
To stop me,
From digging holes,
Is like,
Telling a fish,
Not to swim.
Digging is also a,
Weakness
I normaly dig to,
Deep.
School Act
I put on my mask
As I got on stage.
That was the mask
That hid my nervousness,
My dry mouth,
And my sweat.
When the act started
My mask faded like a ghost.
I remember
The teacher saying
"Good job"
And
"I'm proud of you"
After the play.
I gained
So much confidence
I wasn't nervous ever again.
As I got on stage.
That was the mask
That hid my nervousness,
My dry mouth,
And my sweat.
When the act started
My mask faded like a ghost.
I remember
The teacher saying
"Good job"
And
"I'm proud of you"
After the play.
I gained
So much confidence
I wasn't nervous ever again.
The Pirates by Willson
Running onto the field,
Terrified.
As pale as an,
Ill ghost.
I can't hear what Richie is telling me.
All I hear is the thud of my Heartbeat.
So nervous...
Praying we will take,
This one out,
Horrified of the humiliation.
Terrified.
As pale as an,
Ill ghost.
I can't hear what Richie is telling me.
All I hear is the thud of my Heartbeat.
So nervous...
Praying we will take,
This one out,
Horrified of the humiliation.
Behind The Mask By Willow Gush
Things...
Happen so fast,
Whether it's Sports
Or Spelling Bee
It always is...
FAST!
My forehead is sweating,
My hands are aching
"I haven't even started...
YET."
I am Nervous!
I have tears...
Streaming
Down
Down
Down
My cheeksLike the
Niagara Falls!
My caller,
Calls my name
And suddenly...
I walk
Out onto,
The grounds.
Everyones,
Clapping for me,
Then...
THE MUSIC BEGINS!
Argentina (AFA) vs Germany 2006
I remember
Diego Maradona shouting
Before the match,
"From the first second boys !"
As the feferee
Blew the whistle
I put on my mask
That hid my panic.
It was the quarter finals
Of the FIFA World Cup
And I wasn't going to watch
AFA lose!!!!
After 45 minutes
My emotion changed ,
AFA was winning 2-0!
After the final whistle
I took off my mask
For there was nothing to hide ,
But complete happiness!!!
AFA was off to the semi finals
Because the y won 3-1!!!!!!!!

The Pontoon! By Breana Fahey
Walking up to,
The pontoon,
Nervous,
Filled with fear.
Scared,
I would,
Hit the rocks,
Looking down,
Through the cracks,
2 metres high,
It felt like 10.
Scared I was going,
To trip.
Finally,
I found some,
Courage.
Lilly beside me,
Counting,
1 2 3 go.
I saw Lilly,
Hit the water,
Now it was my turn.
1 2 3,
I was in the air,
I felt like a bird soaring through the sky,
Splash,
I wanted to do it all again.
The pontoon,
Nervous,
Filled with fear.
Scared,
I would,
Hit the rocks,
Looking down,
Through the cracks,
2 metres high,
It felt like 10.
Scared I was going,
To trip.
Finally,
I found some,
Courage.

Counting,

Hit the water,
Now it was my turn.

I was in the air,
I felt like a bird soaring through the sky,
Splash,
I wanted to do it all again.
The Shower
"Come on Pierre,
Get in the shower!",
I moan,
And groan,
Then,
Mum gets ANGRY,
I reluctantly grab my towel ,
And crawl into,
The shower,
Hot water,
Casading,
Down my front,
And back,
Steam rolling,
Down the door,
And walls,
'"Pierre",
Mum yells
"Is there any,
Hot water left",
I know what,
That means,
Time to get out,
I turn it,
Up extra hot,
Then turn
It
Off

A note about our Mihimihi's from Mrs Hogan
Thank you for visiting our Blogspot. The children have worked very hard in Term 1, 2012 to learn their mihimihi. Our main aim was to learn what is in a mihimihi, learn basic sentence structures and know what we are saying. We used artwork to help us recall the maori words and sentences. These are not formal and technically correct mihimihi. This is the start of our learning and in years to come we hope to refine and improve on our first attempts.
Not all children created a movie as it was extension for those who mastered their mihimihi and finished their weaving.
