Michael's persuasive writing

A letter from a styler.

Children look a lot better in casual clothes.

School children should wear whatever they like. For example converses, T-shirts, shorts/pants or gym shoes, shirts and pants. They will be easy to tell apart and feel unique. They will always know the latest fashion which will promote the fashion industry a lot more than when the children had school uniforms.

Another point I would like to make is white shows any dirt and grey turns an even darker grey or black (normal clothes don't). Children are not messy and if you take one look at our design teachers desk the fashion designer will rethink the statement about being messy. Obviously white and grey are the worst possible choice ever.

Also there are bright colors all around the children so they won't be distracted by the color of their clothes. I have noticed that the children like the idea of wearing any type of clothes. Studies have shown that if schools are controlling over school uniform the atmosphere becomes uncomfortable and hard to work in and the darker the more depressing.

Finally other clothes are a lot better because they are lose and easy to run around in where as with school uniform the colors are dark and depressing and the shoes are big, clunky things witch makes it hard to run around in.

Therefore I believe that children should wear whatever they like because the clothes won't show any stains, promote the fashion designer and they would not be distracted by colors. This letter should prove my point.

In my opinion children should be able to wear what we want to wear to school. Because we look better in bright clothing instead off uniforms that are hideous and not comfortable.

And secondly  you will never forget your gym shoes because there's  is a good chance you will be wearing them. And if you are hot you  get hotter in are big grey tops and are thick socks. So  we should wear comfortable like  shorts and an a hoodie or other clothes.

So in my opinion we should wear what  we want wear to school.

A letter from a fashionable student

I disagree with the crazy designer that thinks kids should wear uniforms to school.

In my opinion I think kids should be able to wear mufti to school everyday instead of their  boring  uniform. My reasons are that school uniforms are not stylish. The
jerseys are big and woolly and they make you itch like mad and if they get wet they smell really horrible. The horrible dark shorts and grey shirts that are not fashionable and look disgusting.

Also you can save a big amount of money by not buying ugly dull horrible uniform and wearing the wonderful clothes you have already bought. Also it does not matter if your wonderful clothes are in the wash because you can just wear a different pair. But if your uniform is in the wash and you don't have another pair it can stress you out and make you late for school.

Also study's from answer.com say that school uniforms don't let kids express they personalities.

Therefore I think kids should be able to wear any clothes they please to school.

A letter from a world class fashion designer.

In my opinion I think children should be allowed to wear what ever they want, the dull boring uniform we have now should be banned from all schools around the country.

School kids should wear mufti because our uniform has big clompers for shoes and has clothes that we get hot in they are very tight and no one likes them, they also are very uncomfortable.

I think colour is fun and no one likes wearing dull colours so we should not get another uniform we should just wear mufti.

Finally if we wear mufti we can run around easier because we can wear NRL shorts and all those sports shorts on hot days and fat pants on cold days then the field doesn't need to get closed because we can wear different clothes the next day, plus we can  wear Marist and touch hoodies, we will look swagalicious (look good in the clothes).

Colour makes kids happy therefore I think kids should be allowed to wear mufti like fat pants,NRL shorts, and Marist hoodies.

Children look great in mufti.

In my opinion children should wear mufti to school.

If children wear mufti it gives them the chance to express themselves and be different but you can't do that in a uniform because everyone is wearing the same clothes.

Secondly according to a fashion designer children get their clothes dirty by spilling food on their clothes, but to be honest children do this but that is what persil and vanish are for!

Thirdly according to the fashion designer colours distract children but honestly children are just not interested in the patterns on their clothes.
The fashion designer also said children wear silly hats but all those hats are silly are fun to wear!

Therefore I believe children should wear mufti
to school because it gives them the chance to express themselves.

In my opinion children should be allowed to wear what ever they want to school.

Children should wear trackies, drop tails and gym shoes. If they wear clothes they like they will look fashionable.

Children should pick what they want to wear and if it is hot they can wear shorts and if it is cold they can wear trackies.

Finally uniforms are made with uncomfortable materials kids feel will feel comfortable in shorts playing and if they get muddy they can bring a change of clothes to school

Therefore children should be allowed to wear want ever they want to school

A letter from a messy child

A letter from a messy child

In my opinion children should be able to wear something that is comfortable and easy to work in.

School children should wear what they like, except for girls who sometime wear not very appropriate clothes. Girls should wear what’s suitable for them like full t-shirts and pants not short tops and skirts.

Children also like to be different from other people with different colours and pictures on their tops.

Dirt and food does show up on dull shirts. If dirt or food goes on a shirt it does not matter what you wear, the dirt and food will still show.

Also a dull uniform is distracting. How? Well its heavy, which distracts you with the weight that stays on you therefore making your work sloppy. While a comfortable, soft, weightless, bright and cheerful coloured shirt, helps keep your mind awake.

Finally children need to wear suitable clothes so that they can do sport’s,  without having to change. Children need to wear something they are comfortable in, not uncomfortable, itchy, coarse school clothes.

Therefore I believe that children should be able to wear something that is comfortable and easy to work in.

A LETTER FROM A FASHION FREAK !!!
In my opinion I think uniforms should be banned from school!

Firstly kids shouldn’t have to wear awful black buckly shoes or horrible dark green jerseys and pinafores or long prickly socks it’s just not fair!

Secondly who want’s to wear a uniform when you have fashionable clothes just waiting for you to wear.

Also when your in sports teams at lunch and play its a real pain when you have to get changed and unchanged all the time.

Lastly kids do not like tight itchy clothes they should be allowed to wear there own clothes that are more comfortable and colourful for them to wear and express themselves.

Therefore I believe that uniforms should be band form school forever!

Children look much better in bright clothes than dark grey shirts and shorts called school uniforms.

In my opinion children should be allowed to wear what ever they want to school.

School children should be able to wear anything they want to school for example track suit pants, rugby jerseys, onesies and so on. I think children look stylish in colourful sweatshirts than green jerseys and black vests.

Another point so that on grey you can see dirt stains easily but if you can wear mufti you might be wearing brown so you couldn't see the stain as much. Adding to that food stains like strawberries which are red would show up on a dark grey shirt but if you could wear mufti you may be wearing red so you couldn't see it as much.

Also mufti is way more comfortable than baggy grey ugly shirts and shorts. For example we wouldn't have to get changed in or out of sports gear because mufti would be our sports gear.

Therefore I believe school aged children should be allowed to wear what ever they please.

A LETTER FROM A FASHION FREAK!!!

In my opinion I think that kids shouldn’t wear uniforms and they should be banned!

Firstly the colours on our uniform are dark and depressing and don’t include bright happy colours.

Secondly the jerseys are itchy and scratchy and the shoes are big, ugly and heavy.

Another point is that all the heavy layers make it hard to run in and play games. Therefore I think that we should not wear uniforms.

The kids do not feel comfortable in the uniforms that’s why they should wear their own clothes to school.

Therefore I think that uniforms should be banned and not be worn at school.
BY ANABELLE

In my opinion children should not have to wear dull and uncomfortable school uniforms.

Firstly if everyone wears a uniform the teacher will get mixed up because everyone looks similar.

Also the jerseys and woollen vests are so uncomfortable and itchy so it distracts the students while they are learning and who likes to have to itch and scratch during learning.

Secondly students shouldn’t have many food spills because they are old enough not to especially the seniors. But they might have some accidental spills. With the students wearing their own clothes they would take care of them and there would be less spills.

Thirdly the colours of or on clothes don’t distract people it is their other classmates talking and being with them.

Another reason is that the uniforms are very expensive and people might not be able to afford them as the stationary and school bags are all expensive enough.

Finally students may not wear the uniform because they just simply don’t like it. Why couldn’t the school just have a dress code? Or the 3 C’s. Clean, Comfortable and covered up.

Therefore I strongly believe that schools shouldn’t have a uniform and then the students can wear what they want to school and be clean and comfortable.

Children look so much better in mufti.

In my opinion, children should be allowed to wear mufti as an everyday, casual uniform.

Children should be able to wear mufti. There are sturdy, casual shoes, such as gym shoes or converse. Why would you want specifically baggy and loose fitting clothing? It will look like no-one owns the children. Obviously, they will not look lovely if their clothes are dark and dull. The children can also look like they belong to a group if they all wear bright coloured clothing.

I would like to say that it is no big deal if the children get dirt on their clothes or have food spills. There is such a thing as cleaning, going home or spare clothes.

Green and grey will distract the children, because it is so ugly! The children won’t compete for attention if they don’t look the same, and everyone will know about the fashion, so why bother talking about it?! You can also confiscate silly hats.

Finally, uniforms are not good and shorts or leggings are much easier to wear while active, rather than dresses or tight shorts. Girls look like old slaves and boys feel like a grey cloud.

Therefore I believe that children should be able to wear mufti, instead of those dirty, dark and dull uniforms.

Children look so much better wearing whatever, whenever they please.

In my opinion uniforms are a bad idea.

Schools should permit children to dress comfortably. Children are often uncomfortable with our baggy, heavy, dragging uniforms.

Children should be able to express their identity, instead of wearing a dull, dark, scratchy uniform. We are not a dull school.

Secondly it is the child’s fault if food stains embarrass them. But considering the fact that uniforms are so heavy and dragging it makes it easier to spill foods.

Another point, children are sensible and will not get distracted by colourful clothing and stylish hats. At debate.org it says 70% say uniforms are a bad idea. Only 30% disagree.

Also school uniforms are expensive. Parents are spending too much for them, and that’s only for uniforms. Parents need to buy books and pencils and rulers and glue sticks. That is taking away money from family’s how hardly have any already. Would a poor child get kicked out of a school just because they are not following the dress code?

Finally new children need to find themselves. To find out whom they are.  They need to be unique. How can they do that while wearing a uniform?

Therefore I believe schools should permit children to wear whatever, whenever, they please
