Margaret Mahy
An Absolutely Awesome Author Study.

Margaret Mahy is a simply fantastic author, and her books are bizarre and brilliant. All of her characters, settings and problems are different. They are all crazy and random, but perhaps that’s the connection between them all.

Margaret uses a whole heap of imagery, so it feels as though you could slip into the background and try a cake, or perhaps save the day as one of the main characters. There’s just something there, on that page, that just appeals to your senses.

All of her endings are happy, whether the hero defeats the villain, or the problem is resolved. When you read those words,
“Happily ever after” or otherwise, you get tingles up your spine.

I would recommend her work to anybody and everybody, especially young children. I rate her work 4 stars out of 5. If I had to name my favourite books, they probably wouldn’t be any of hers. Thanks for Reading.
